Make Up Forever HD foundation & Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Review & Swatches

Good day ladies! This is my first post on my blog and I've decided to start off with the Basics - Foundation.  Alot of people have asked me on what foundation I been using, do i just use just one tone or mix different foundations to get the right colour, etc. Well lucky for me, i did't have to mix different tones of foundations as i usually manage to find the right colour in one tone. Even if i use a lighter shade foundation, i'll balance it out with a darker shade loose powder.

My current favourite!

I've been loving my Makeup Forever HD foundation and I've been using the same bottle for more than a year ! (It still hasn't finished yet!) Can you believe it?

Makeup Forever states this is a medium coverage foundation, but i really think it's more of a light coverage as it won't be able to cover scars even if you build up the application. One layer of this foundation works for me unless i'm going to be out all day, i opt for two layers and i love how it's buildable without looking cakey. If you have a really great skin with minor to no imperfections, this would be the perfect coverage for you.

On the second picture, see how the foundation's blended with my skin, you can't really tell if i'm actually using one? It's like magic :) Trust me, i LOVE this product. It looks absolutely amazing under every lighting and it doesn't cake; it's like your skin, but a million times better.

It's perfect for normal to combination skin as it doesn't turn very oily after sometime. I been out with it all day and I didn't even need any touch up! True story.

The MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Complexion products use innovative formulas to create a new generation of make up which is both invisible on HD cameras and to the naked eye. The HD Foundation is an oil-free medium-to-full coverage liquid foundation which covers skin imperfections, while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life. Its extremely fine texture is supple and easy to apply. Enriched with moisturizing agents, it leaves the skin soft and radiant. It is available in a wide range of shades to suit all skin tones.

Priced at SGD $75, it's worth every penny as a little goes a long way! I only needed 1 pump to cover my entire face with a damp beauty blender sponge (the best!) I would recommend using a primer underneath as it will help the foundation glide smoothly over your face. Overall, one of the best sheer coverage foundations I've tried before. My skin looks so airbrushed with a soft focus effect and it photographs beautifully and makes my skin look almost flawless. It's honestly a great foundation and i suggest you give it a try!

Moving on to my 2nd current favourite foundation!

HELLO FLAWLESS OXYGEN WOW by benefit.

I was initially intended to buy the lip stain from the benefit counter when i went to Sephora 5 months back and their foundation captured my eye and I immediately tried on their tester. To my surprise, it was exactly what i didn't expect. It was better than that ! The perfect full coverage i was looking for in a bottle! It gives a luminous and healthy looking finish. It's not exactly a full coverage foundation (although it is for me), it's very buildable and it gives a natural, dewy finish. Bid farewell to thick foundation and suffocated skin!

I've got the "Warm me up" Toasted Beige shade. It's a little too yellow toned for my skin but with enough blending, it's not a problem. This is an oil free formula that provides a light-medium coveragethat also contains an SPF 25 to help protect your skin against environmental damage and sun rays so you don't need to worry about sunscreen.

Priced at SGD $58, Benefit's Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation provides a natural coverage while hydrating the skin,it also hydrates as it covers making it ideal for dry skin types and it comes with a decent smell too.

It's lightweight but still has decent, buildable coverage, The pump is really easy to control so you can use as much or as little as you need - I usually use about 2 medium-sized pumps to do my whole face. I would use this for a night out anytime as I'm not really into ultimate full coverage foundations as I'd like my face to look as natural as possible. To me this is maximum coverage already!

The only negetivity is it's not that great for flash photography as it doesn't turn out as natural as it looks in person. Plus it isn't that long wearing as i would have liked it to be. Lasts up to 6-7hours perhaps? After which I had to touch up just one more time. Then again, this isn't a major issue at all ! I'm sure we could live with a little touch ups here and there! ;)

You know you found something great when your BF asks
"how come you look so gorgeous today?"  :P

Have you bought your benefit yet?

Xoxo, Mila
